ECORSE, MI — Law enforcement executing a search warrant Tuesday encountered a different type of scale than what they expected to as an alligator was found living at the home. Michigan State Police didn’t provide much information regarding the alligator other than to say it was turned over to a local animal shelter.
Members of the Metro Narcotics Enforcement Team ( MNET) conducted the search as part of a federally supported project that also involved the Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice.
Police seized over 500 grams of methamphetamine, 10 grams of heroin, six grams of cocaine, 371 grams of various pills, and nine firearms. A suspect was arrested at the scene and the case has been turned for prosecutorial review.
